Nila is a unique story about a fusion between purely Norwegian ingredients and ancient Indian flavors. Our innovative concept is built around pushing boundaries and creating an utterly special culinary experience for our guests.
Our restaurant opened in 2022 and has already received a lot of attention around the world. The first year has brought us a top mark of 6 stars in the local newspaper and a nomination for a distinguished award in the city (Byutviklingsprisen). Nila has been written about in Indias second largest newspaper (Times of India) and gained partnership with some of the worlds most noticeable culinary organisations and hotel chains.

Sakirat Waraich (Insta: @dr.chef_sakirat) has a background as a dentist with a deep rooted passion for food. Her uniquely crafted way of letting different food- traditions coexist led her to MasterChef Norway in 2020. She is also an established speaker in the culinary space and is regularly featured as a jury-chef around the world.
A selected few times every year Nila provides a memorable culinary experience in the form of catering for up to 100 guests.
